A centerpiece is an important item of a display, usually of a table setting.[1] Centerpieces help set the theme of the decorations and bring extra decorations to the room. A centerpiece also refers to any central or important object in a collection of items.[2]
Centerpieces are a major part of the decoration for a wedding reception, being used widely at wedding receptions with flowers being the most popular form of centerpieces. Weddings, baby showers, engagement parties, anniversary parties and birthdays often have some form of centerpiece.
On the table, a centerpiece is a central object which serves a decorative purpose.[2] However, centerpieces are often not too large, to avoid difficulty with visibility around the table and to allow for the easier serving of dishes.
Formal functions in Europe can sometimes have very elaborate centerpieces, which can span the entire length of the table.

This durable, small succulent is the perfect choice for a container or rock garden. This drought tolerant perennial grows to be about 1-3” tall, forming unique rosettes that are sure to become a conversation starter. Magenta blooms form in the summer months and this easy-care perennial thrives in full sun to partial shade. Also known as Hens and Chicks, we recommend planting as many of these in the garden as possible; they’ll quickly become one of your favorites for filling in bare spots with texture and color.
